Home sweet home
After another close defeat in Edmonton last weekend, the REDBLACKS return to the friendly confines of TD Place where they will look to put on a winning display in front of an always loud and proud RNation on Wednesday night. It won’t be an easy task, with the Alouettes coming off an impressive win over the Calgary Stampeders. But despite not having found their way into the win column yet, the REDBLACKS have only a minus-6 point differential through four games and have not lost by more than four points.

Welcome back, WiPo!
The REDBLACKS got a boost at running back in Edmonton as William Powell returned to the lineup after a brief stay on the injured list. The 29-year-old Texan finished the game with 15 carries for 46 yards and a touchdown and showed signs he is returning to form after sitting out all of last season with an Achilles injury. There’s little doubt Powell can have a major impact on the REDBLACKS run game – Powell had 573 yards on the ground in nine games in 2015 and was one of the club’s best players in that year’s Grey Cup game against Edmonton.

Short yardage, big gains
REDBLACKS quarterback Ryan Lindley has already proven to be a strong addition to the club, both in the locker room and in key short yardage situations on the field. At 6-3, 230 lbs, Lindley has proven adept at crashing through the opposing defence to pick up key gains, often leading to first downs and, on already two occasions through four games this season, touchdowns. So far Lindley has carried the ball six times for 12 yards, all successful short yardage plays.
