Originally, from Montreal Quebec, JP Bolduc has not only made himself a starter on the REDBLACKS for the past 4-seasons he has made Ottawa his home and become a staple in the community.
Be it during the season or the off-season Bolduc is always out giving a helping hand wherever and whenever he can and takes pride in not only giving back to the community but leading his teammates to do the same.
“In my first years as a REDBLACK, I saw how Moton Hopkins was always taking part in community events, visiting kids in the hospital, engaging with fans… and I thought that was pretty amazing and though I could have the same impact”, stated Bolduc. “Moton and I are both really close to special needs people, so when he started a sports camp for Autistic Children I was all in to help.” After Hopkins retired from football and return home to Texas, JP took the reins and with the help of fellow teammates, and members of the Ottawa 67’s he continues to run his own sports camps for autistic and special need kids in the community.”

“JP is terrific. He is always asking to be a part of our community outreach and creates his own initiatives as well. When you add the fact that he is a great public speaker and fluently bi-lingual – I couldn’t ask for more in an athlete.”, says Mark Sluban, Community Events Manager – Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group. “I was so excited when we signed him to a 2 year extension at the end of the 2019 season.”
