1. Alouettes return for Mark’s Labour Day Weekend

This marks the 21st occasion that Montreal and Ottawa will meet on Labour Day Weekend (third straight). The first time they met on Labour Day Weekend was September 3, 1949 when the Ottawa Rough Riders won 22-21 over the Alouettes. Ottawa holds the slight edge (11-9) in the series, and has scored only five more points than Montreal (419-386). Since 2014, Montreal is 4-8 versus Ottawa; seven of those games were decided by eight points or fewer.

More recently, the REDBLACKS held on for a less than comfortable 24-17 win versus a much improved Johnny Manziel and his Alouettes in Week 9. This rematch should make for an entertaining Labour Day classic.
