For The KIDS: 5 Awesome Reasons to Bring Your Family to The Stadium on Saturday

Saturday afternoon is all For the Kids at TD Place, as the Ottawa REDBLACKS host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in a 4:00pm kickoff. There’s more than just an exciting day on the gridiron planned at the stadium, so here are five reasons you should bring the kids for a fun day of family and football.

  1. Kids get in for just $10! – Starting the day off right, kids tickets are just $10, so not only do they get a day of excitement at TD Place, but you save money!
  2. Mascot Meet and Greet at Gate 1 – Before the game gets started, some iconic Ottawa sports mascots will be hanging out at Gate 1, to kick off an afternoon of family fun! Bring the kids by to meet their favourites! GATE 1 is open at 2:30pm, and 2-4 are open at 3PM.
  3. Kids characters will be roaming the stadium – Were football and mascots not enough, some of your kids’ favourite characters from the magical world of Disney, video games, and more will be hanging out at the stadium! They’re excited to meet our young fans, so make sure to say hi!
  4. Kid-friendly festivities – You’ll also be able to find face painters, balloon twisters, and glitter tattoo artists at the game! Your kids will have a blast with the bevy of options, and look the part as they cheer on the REDBLACKS!
  5. Cheesecake Poutine – Yes, you read that right! Our Levy’s WOW! item of the game is a “poutine” made with funnel cake “fries”, cheesecake “curds”, toasted marshmallows, chocolate sauce, and rainbow sprinkles. Whether it’s for the kids, or for you (we won’t tell anyone), the Cheesecake Poutine will be available at Pure Foods West South Main, near Gate 6. Supplies are limited, so make sure to arrive early to enjoy this tasty treat!
