RNation Everyday Hero: Roula Chidiac
As the virus spread, it quickly became apparent that residents of Canada’s long-term care homes were the most at-risk group in the country. Every day we heard heart-wrenching stories of grieving families that had lost loved ones, deprived by isolation rules of the opportunity to even say goodbye. As is often the case in the midst of tragedy, we were also inspired by stories of average people going above and beyond to help. Scores of nurses and Personal Support Workers (PSW’s) at Ottawa long-term care facilities are in that category, including Roula Chidiac, a PSW at the Carleton Lodge, mother of two kids under 10 and a member of our #RNation family.
