Biggest tailgate ever as REDBLACKS set to tame the Lions; Fewer than 1000 tickets remain

The BC Lions roll into town for a 3:30 p.m. clash with your REDBLACKS, the perfect occasion for not just an expanded tailgate, but the biggest tailgate party Lansdowne has yet to see.

Aberdeen Square will open for the occasion (parents – that’s where you’ll find the kids’ zone), while the arena floor will be hopping with the Lumberyard Party. Both locations open at 12:30, with the arena opening up to non-Lumberyard members at 1:30.

Oh yeah, about the beer: Bud and Bud Light will be on special for $7-a-pop, the lowest price yet for suds at a REDBLACKS game. So grab a pint and settle in for live music courtesy of Mosely (inside the arena) and DJ Emmett (in the Bud King Club).

All that and then a football game at 3:30. And it’s a big one because, well, it’s the CFL and they are all big games. That’s particularly true in the East Division, where the REDBLACKS remain within spitting distance of the Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts, who themselves are jockeying for position atop the division.

It’s going to be a party, RNation. And it’s a weekend. And the weather is good. And the beer is cheaper. So come for the tailgate, then watch as your REDBLACKS tame those Lions.

Fewer than 1000 tickets remain for Saturday’s game against the BC Lions at TD Place at 3:30 p.m. Two of the CFL’s most potent offensive sides will meet as the REDBLACKS look to build on their big win last Friday in Hamilton.

As part of Pride Week, Saturday’s contest is the football club’s annual Pride Game ahead of the Capital Pride Parade on Sunday that will also feature players from the Ottawa REDBLACKS and members of the REDBLACKS Cheer Team.

Saturday’s game is the only afternoon game at TD Place this season. Tickets are available by clicking here, calling 613.232.6767 X1 or in person at The Box Office at TD Place.
