Top Three Storylines | REDBLACKS at Ticats

First within reach
In a season where the CFL’s East Division has had trouble making up ground, the REDBLACKS once again have a chance to make a move up the standings in Hamilton on Thursday night. A REDBLACKS win over the winless Tiger-Cats would move Ottawa to within a point of both the Argonauts and Alouettes, before those two teams play each other on Saturday afternoon.

Getting healthy
The REDBLACKS have dealt with their share of injuries to key players already this season, but there appears to be some good news coming on both sides of the ball. After stints on the six-game injured list, both receiver Kenny Shaw and defensive back Nick Taylor appear ready to step back into the lineup, and both took part in full practices this week. Getting Shaw back is a particularly big boost for Ottawa, who signed the former Argo – who had 1,004 yards last year – during the off-season.

Pru-yes!
With a bit of a shuffle to the REDBLACKS secondary against Edmonton last week, fourth-year DB/LB Antoine Pruneau was moved back to his old spot at safety. The move paid off as Pruneau turned in a strong performance in the loss, recording five defensive tackles, a sack and an interception. The 6-foot, 200-lb Montreal native has 30 defensive tackles, five special teams tackles and two picks so far this season.
