Spencer, Harris honoured by CFL for Week 2 performance

An impressive offensive performance on the road last Thursday in Calgary has earned a pair of Ottawa REDBLACKS recognition for their impressive performances in Week 2, the Canadian Football League announced Tuesday.

Spencer had three receptions for 107-yards and a touchdown, but what really turned heads was his punt return in the second quarter that he returned 96 yards for the major. When all was said and done, Spencer produced two touchdowns and 351-yards of offence.

For a second straight week, Ottawa’s high-powered offence netted over 30 points and over 400-yards. On Thursday, the REDBLACKS netted over 500 yards on offence with quarterback Trevor Harris doing his part going 27-for-35 throwing for 425-yards and two touchdowns.

3 – Weston Dressler (Winnipeg Blue Bombers)

The REDBLACKS face the Toronto Argonauts this Saturday as part of Purolator Tackle Hunger Weekend where RNation will look to set the tone early in the season in the battle across the CFL. All food and cash donations from Saturday’s game will support the Ottawa Food Bank.
