REDBLACKS set franchise record as season ticket sales approach 17,500

The reigning Grey Cup Champion Ottawa REDBLACKS continue to have the hottest ticket in town! After selling out their entire 2016 season en route to Grey Cup Championship, the hosts of the 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw have set a franchise record with 17,493 season tickets sold to date, eclipsing the previous record of more than 17,000 set in 2014.

“We’ve hit a perfect storm,” said Jeff Hunt, President, OSEG Sports. “As reigning Grey Cup champions and hosting this year’s championship game interest is higher than ever, and until June 8th the only way to reserve a seat for the Grey Cup is to be a full or partial season ticket holder. That’s really fueled sales, but so has our game day experience. RNation loves to party on game days and the players love playing for them.”

Fans interested in purchasing Grey Cup tickets before they go on sale to the general public still have an opportunity to do so by purchasing a 3-game Home Opener Ticket Pack or full season tickets before June 8th.  Single game tickets go on sale Thursday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. starting at $31 and are available by clicking here.

The REDBLACKS will host the Calgary Stampeders at TD Place to open the 2017 CFL Season in a rematch of the 104th Grey Cup. With 25 sellouts and over 735,000 fans attending games since football returned to the nation’s capital, TD Place could see attendance surpass the 1,000,000 mark when the 105th Grey Cup kicks off on November 26.

Fewer than 5,000 tickets remain for the 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw.
