Chris Hemsworth

2 Labs! 1 black and 1 chocolate

Who is the most inspirational person in your life?

My mom. She is such an inspiration and always lights up a room! She is so strong and proud of everything that she does and always takes time to help others who are in need.

What is one thing you’d like to check off your bucket list?

I need to check off sky diving soon! It’s been on there for long I feel like it’s time!

What is your dream vacation destination?

I want to travel all over the world! I think top of my list right now though is Australia.

What is your dance/cheer background and experience?

I have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I’ve been classically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern dance as well as Hip Hop and Contemporary. I was introduce to cheerleading in 2010 when I jointed the Ottawa Sooners Cheer Team. I’ve also cheered with the Carleton Ravens Rhythm Cheer team before joint the Ottawa RedBlacks Cheer and Dance Team in its inaugural year in 2014.

Why did you audition for the REDBLACKS Cheerleading & Dance Team?

Being a part of this team since its inaugural year has been such an amazing experience and privilege! I’ve met so many people and made some amazing friends. I auditioned again this year because of the sense of family you get while being on the team! The fans are unbelievable and always so supportive at all the games and events we do. You really feel the sense of community that has been brought back since football returned to the city!

What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a cheerleader?

Never give up! Keep practicing and take as many classes as you can. And above all, always have fun! Keep smiling through everything (even you fumble or have no idea what comes next). The judges are always looking to see that you have a dun and outgoing personality as well!

If you could say one thing to #RNation, what would you say?

#RNation keep being your amazing beautiful selves! Your support through the season is unmatched! You are all fantastic! <3
