The Ottawa REDBLACKS kick off rookie camp on Wednesday, welcoming first-year players to TD Place for three days before the main camp starts May 15.
For the approximately 60 young players competing for a spot on the team this season, the three-day camp offers an early opportunity to get acclimated to the facilities, new teammates, and the city.
It all starts Wednesday morning at 10:55 AM and all practice sessions are open to the public. Fans wishing to attend can access The Stadium by the west end zone stairs, with seating available on the north side field seats.
Among the players participating this week include the majority of Ottawa’s 2022 CFL Draft and Global Draft picks, as well as the recently signed Deshawn Stevens, who was chosen in the first round by Ottawa in 2021.
