Thank you for registering to take part in the REDBLACKS Women’s Training Camp Presented by St. Laurent – the first signature fundraising event in support of the OSEG Foundation. We are just over two weeks to event day – and the event is SOLD OUT!

We look forward to hosting you at The Stadium at TD Place on Tuesday, June 12th for an amazing afternoon and evening of football and fun!

Please find below some key information about the REDBLACKS Women’s Training Camp that will help you prepare for event day.

What can I expect when I arrive at TD Place on June 12th?

We are looking forward to your arrival at the Women’s Training Camp.  Participant Check-In opens at 3:30pm.  All of our participants will be found on our registration lists at the check-in tables – under the last name of the participant.  Please note:  if you are unable to attend and are gifting your spot to someone else, you must forward that information before noon on June 12 to foundation@oseg.ca.  Only those guests listed on the registration list will be permitted on the field.

As part of check-in, each participant will be given a colour code and group number.  When you are on the field, all of the stations are identified by colour and number – the colour that matches your wrist band identifies your FIRST Training Camp Station.

Just after 4:30pm we’ll begin the official warm-up on the field.  Following the warm-up – participants will go to their assigned Gridiron Station for the start of Training Camp.

Each group will rotate through the 12 Training Camp Stations that cover a wide variety of football drills.  The stations wrap-up around 9pm – at which time participants will be invited to attend the Post-Drill Reception in Otto’s Club!

During the reception, participants will have the opportunity to bid on some amazing live auction items – and all participants will go home with a snazzy swag bag full of goodies!

Funds raised at the REDBLACKS Women’s Training Camp will be invested in our community to provide young girls with increased access to sports-programming. On event day, we have a number of fundraising activities going on including a raffle, silent auction and live auction. We’ll have volunteers from local sports associations selling raffle tickets during the welcome reception, so be sure to purchase your tickets – $10 each or three (3) for $20.

Be please sure to stop by the Silent Auction Table and bid on your favourite item – or join in on the LIVE AUCTION during the post-drill reception.

You can preview the Live and Silent Auction items here.

What will I be doing at Training Camp?

Participants are placed into 12 separate groups – and each group will move through 12 different Training Camp Stations.
You can see the map of the stations and descriptions by clicking here.

What do I wear to the Women’s Training Camp?

Excellent question!  The dress code for Women’s Training Camp is game day ready.  Translation:  sport your workout gear, running shoes and your REDBLACKS Training Camp t-shirt (included in the welcome kit you receive as part of check-in).
Please be sure to check the weather – a large portion of the event will be held outside on the field, rain or shine!

After the Training Camp Stations, all participants will make their way to Otto’s Club (South Side of the Stadium) for a reception.  There is no need to change out of your workout gear for the reception.

I have cleats, is it ok to wear them?

Please don’t wear cleats to the event, running shoes are perfect!

What do I bring to the Women’s Training Camp?

We will have a coat check available to all our participants, but please try and only bring the essentials that you will need for the event:

  • Signed Participant Waiver Form (see link below to download the waiver)
  • Athletic clothes
  • Running shoes
  • Water bottle (we’ll have Culligan water stations throughout the field so you can fill up your bottles)
  • Rain gear (if rain is in the forecast)
  • Towel (in the event of rain)
  • Change of clothes and footwear for the reception (in the case of rain)

Participant Waiver and Release Form

What happens if it rains on event day?

Just like the pros, the event will go on – rain or shine!
If there is rain in the forecast, you may want to bring an extra pair of socks and shoes to change into before the reception.

I don’t get to the gym very often, am I going to be able to take part in the drills?

Don’t worry – you got this!  Training Camp is designed for all ages (18+) and fitness levels.  You go at your own pace.  We support you 100%!

Can my family and friends come watch the Women’s Training Camp?

Absolutely, family and friends can come watch the Women’s Training Camp from street level by Gate 1.
Please note: only registered participants will be allowed into the stadium and onto the field.

Still got questions?

We would be happy to answer them.  Please email foundation@oseg.ca and one of our team members will get back to you shortly.

THANK YOU to our amazing starting line-up – the women who worked behind-the-scenes to help bring the 2018 REDBLACKS Women’s Training Camp to life!
