Finish this statement: I am most proud of…

Making this team. I am so proud to be part of such an amazing group of men and women.

What is your dance/cheer background and experience?

I’ve been dancing since I was three years old, my parents always say they couldn’t get me to sit still for more than five minutes at a time because I would always be dancing. I started competing when I was six and continued until I was around ten when I had to take some time off to have surgery on my feet. I started back a few years later and have been dancing since! Joining REDBLACKS was the first time I tried a more cheer oriented dance style and I have fallen in love!

Why did you audition for the REDBLACKS Cheerleading & Dance Team?

I tried out for REDBLACKS on recommendation from a friend I danced with as a kid. I always knew I wanted to continue dancing once my competitive days were over, I just didn’t know how. This team looked like an amazing opportunity to continue my dance training in a more professional level, and make some amazing friends along the way.

What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a cheerleader?

Just go for it! There is absolutely nothing you are going to lose from going through the audition process, and everyone there wants to see you succeed. Continue with your training, and let your passion for dance/cheer show!

If you could say one thing to #RNation, what would you say?

We cannot thank you enough for your support, it means the absolute world to us. REDBLACKS truly have the best fans in the CFL!
