Finish this statement: I am most proud of…

The improvements and community impact the Redblacks Cheer and Dance team have accomplished since our inaugural season!

What is your dance/cheer background and experience?

I started cheering in high school. Since then I have been on multiple competitive and recreational teams including the Cheer Sport Sharks, the Ottawa Sooners and the University of Ottawa Geegees. I am now the Director of the OSCT and I’ve helped run the Redblacks junior program since our inaugural season.

Why did you audition for the REDBLACKS Cheerleading & Dance Team?

Auditioning for the team this year wasn’t even a question. This is my fourth year on the team and I have no doubt that it will be the best year yet! With winning the Grey Cup last year and having the opportunity to host it this year is going to be such an amazing experience. Definitely something I did not want to miss out on!

What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a cheerleader?

My advice to them would be to never give up on their goals. To keep working hard and not let anything get in their way. Join a team to gain experience and constantly ask your coach how you can improve your skills.

If you could say one thing to #RNation, what would you say?

#RNation, we need you more than ever! Let’s work to keep the Grey Cup in Ottawa this year!
