Dierks Bentley/Jason Witten

Do you have a pet?

Yes! A golden retriever named Joey, and a black lab named Jake! Anyone who knows me knows that I’m truly obsessed with dogs!

What is your dream job?

Sports commentator/News anchor

Who is the most inspirational person in your life?

My mother is my rock and one of the strongest people I know! She encourages me to pursue my many dreams! And my father is one of the reasons why I am such a determined person. I’d like to think I got my work ethic from him! They both inspire me so much!

What is one thing you’d like to check off your bucket list?

Attend a Dallas Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium!!

What is your dream vacation destination?

A Mediterranean cruise, which I am planning on going on this summer after I graduate from University!

What is one thing most people would be surprised to know about you?

I used to play rugby!

Do you have any nicknames?

My close friends call me Cails & Bailin

Name one person dead or alive you would want to have a dinner party with and why?

Jimmy Fallon or Ellen! I feel like they’d have me laughing all night!

Finish this statement: I am most proud of…

Representing Canada at the Cheerleading World Championships last year! It was an unforgettable experience and something I will never forget!

What is your dance/cheer background and experience?

I have been a competitive figure skater since I was three years old and took dance lessons to improve my skating. I started doing sideline cheerleading at Carleton University and fell in love with it! This will be my third season with REDBLACKS Cheer and I’m very excited to be back!

Why did you audition for the REDBLACKS Cheerleading & Dance Team?

I originally decided to audition for this team because I had cheered at TD Place for the annual Panda Football Game, Carleton vs. Ottawa U. The thrill of cheering on those sidelines and hearing the roar of the crowd was addictive and I knew I wanted to cheer there again one day but for the REDBLACKS!

What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a cheerleader?

I would say never give up on your dreams! A no today could lead to a yes tomorrow with lots of dedication and hard work! When one door closes another door opens, stay positive and keep moving forward!

If you could say one thing to #RNation, what would you say?

We are the champions my friends!
