A huge defensive performance by the Ottawa REDBLACKS on Saturday night has landed defensive back Abdul Kanneh and linebacker Avery Williams on the Week 1 list of CFL Top Performers.
Kanneh had a pair of interceptions, along with six tackles, including a game-winning pick-six as he ran an intercepted Trevor Harris pass back 102 yards for the major.
Williams spent the game hitting everything in sight, finishing with 14 tackles and a sack as the REDBLACKS stopped Edmonton from scoring a single touchdown on the way to a 16-12 Ottawa win.
