Purolator brings Grey Cup to Ottawa to Tackle Hunger in support of the Ottawa Food Bank

Purolator is teaming up with the Ottawa REDBLACKS to tackle hunger as part of the Purolator Tackle Hunger® program, in support of the Ottawa Food Bank. All three organizations are issuing a special challenge to REDBLACKS fans and asking them to bring non-perishable food items, cash donations to the August 11 game, which will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank. New this year, fans can donate via debit and credit.

For every $1 of monetary donations, the Ottawa Food Bank turns that into $5 of food for families in need.

Fans can drop off donations at Gate 1, 2, and 3 on Saturday at TD Place. Those who do will receive a ballot to get their photo with the Grey Cup (at Gate 1) and enter for a chance to win a REDBLACKS Tackle Hunger jersey signed by Trevor Harris and Alex Mateas.

Ottawa families are in most need of staples such as canned meat and fish, whole grain pasta, and diapers. At the game, fans will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Grey Cup. Last year, RNation donated more than 37,746 pounds of food, helping hundreds of families in Ottawa and surrounding areas.
