At the OSEG Foundation, their mission is to ensure all children and youth in our community have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through sports.
So together, we were incredibly moved to hear the story of a 12-year old Garrett who lives with a heart condition that prevents him, an avid football fan, from playing the sport he loves.
Last week, we were honoured to work with Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario and the OSEG Foundation to surprise Garrett some very special news. Garrett was invited down to TD Place, where he signed a one-day CFL contract and lead the entire team onto the field before our Week 6 battle with the BC Lions.
At half time, Garrett received a special video message from his three favourite players – Jon Gott, Diontae Spencer and Kevin Brown III. His wish of going on a Disney Cruise is coming true!
