R Community | Cumberland to Kanata and all parts in between

On Tuesday night, members of the REDBLACKS were spread across the Ottawa area attending three simultaneous community events.

In the east end, Ettore Latanzio and Ron Omara joined NCAFA’s Cumberland Panthers at practice to share their knowledge with youth football players.

Out west, Jonathan Newsome, Diontae Spencer, Nolan MacMillan, Mossis Madu Jr., and members of the REDBLACKS Cheer Team were the special guests at our Quarterback Club in Kanata. The foursome answered questions, signed autographs, posed for for photos with fans at Don Cherry’s Sports Grill.

Back at TD Place in the Glebe, Zack Evans, Brett Maher, Jake Harty, Ryan Lindley, and Alex Mateas helped fans learn some skills through various drills on the field. Big Joe, Sparky, and Riley the Raccoon, as well as members of Ottawa Fury FC, the REDBLACKS Cheer Team, and Bell Media personalities were in attendance.

These events are just one example of the REDBLACKS continued community involvement that total almost 4000 hours in 2017.
