Things to do at Lansdowne on REDBLACKS game day

Pick a game, any game!
Thanksgiving weekend will be a busy one at TD Place and if you’re a sports fan, it’s the only place to be. While the REDBLACKS will be kicking off the fun Friday night, the Ottawa 67’s will hit the ice on Saturday afternoon as the club hosts Kingston at 2 p.m. Just 24 hours later, Fury FC will take to the pitch against the New York Cosmos. A new car!
Minor football teams in Ottawa-Gatineau have been asked to submit a video telling the REDBLACKS and CARSTAR why they should win a new van … The submissions are in and the winner will be announced during the game on Friday. Here’s a bit more on the contest courtesy of REDBLACKS receiver Ernest Jackson.

Thank your first responders!
Friday’s game against the Roughriders will be played in support of Ottawa First Responders. Emergency responders from the Ottawa-Gatineau region will be honoured prior to and during Friday’s game. So if you see police, firefighters or paramedics Friday night while strolling around TD Place, be sure to stop and say thanks for keeping us safe!

Patio livin’
October has rolled in but spring has dug its claws in, with a sunny high of 24C in the forecast for Friday. Take advantage of the last of the patio days for the 2016 season and head over to one of Lansdowne’s many restaurant and bar options, several of which boat impressive patio setups. The newest patio offering belongs to Craft, while favourites like Local, Joey’s, Milestones, Crust and Crate and Jack Astor’s also offer great outdoor dining options.

adidas swag
If you haven’t checked out the new merchandise shop – located next to the box office – and picked up your new REDBLACKS gear, now’s the time to do it. In addition to the new adidas jerseys released this season, the company has put out a full line of REDBLACKS apparel that is proving to be very popular. Pop on over and grab a shirt or jersey and show off your RED and BLACK on Saturday.
