Who is the Most Inspirational Person in your Life?

The most inspirational person in my life would have to be my mom. Ever since I was little I have always looked up to her, and I respect how much unconditional love she continues to give to every single member of our family. She is always so positive and supportive and I know that I can always count on her to be there when I need her. Even when she’s going through one of her own trying times, she has always put myself or my sisters first and made our issues a priority over her own. Her strength and ability to keep our whole family organized is admirable and I wouldn’t be able to be the person I am today without her love and guidance.

To travel throughout Europe.

Finish this Statement: I am most proud of…

I am most proud of buying my first home this year!

What is your Dancing/Cheer Background and Experience?

I first began cheerleading four years ago, and I immediately fell in love with the sport. I started on a competitive open level 4.2 cheer team where I began to develop my skills. I enjoyed competitive cheerleading so much, I decided to try out the performance type and became a member of the Ottawa Sooners Cheer Team. I have been a member of the Sooners cheer team for the past three years and this year I became the Fundraiser Coordinator so I am very excited to continue on with the team in a leadership role. Both competitive and performance cheer share some similarities and differences, but I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing both, and I can’t wait to step out on the field with the Ottawa REDBLACKS Cheer and Dance team this season!

Why did you Decide to Audition for the REDBLACKS Cheerleading and Dance Team?

I love cheerleading and really enjoy performing so I thought that joining the Ottawa REDBLACKS Cheerleading and Dance Team would help improve my skills and abilities with performance cheer. I love how involved our cheer program is within the Ottawa community, and I really wanted to be apart of a team where the athletes become a family and are dedicated to work hard so that we can give the fans our best performance.

What Advice Would you Give Someone who Dreams of Becoming a Dancer or Cheerleader?

You never know until you try. Be confident in yourself and remember that practice makes perfect, so if you set a goal for yourself just keep trying your best and all your hard work will eventually pay off.

If you could say one thing to #RNation what would you say?

The fans of #RNATION are amazing! Through the ups and downs of the past few seasons, #RNATION has always stuck by our team, and I’m really excited to cheer on the Ottawa REDBLACKS with you this season!
