Finish this Statement: I am most proud of…

How far I have come with dance. I used to have stage fright but now I am performing in front of 25 thousand people in a huge stadium. I now have the biggest love for performing. That wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t constantly put on stage even when I was afraid to dance.

What is your Dancing/Cheer Background and Experience?

I started off doing recreational dance and ballet at age 3. From there I did competitive rhythmic gymnastics for 5 years from age 10-15. When I moved to Ottawa I took up a year of cheerleading and hip hop dance. I switched to elite dance studio and did competitive dance for 3 years while also being on my high school dance team. Since graduating I’ve done various performances at the casino, Kavali, and the museum of nature. My most recent and current dance experience has been with the Redblacks dance team. I have grown so much being on the team and I am so thankful for this opportunity.

Why did you Decide to Audition for the REDBLACKS Cheerleading and Dance Team?

After much thought and consideration, I decided to audition for the dance team again this year. I thought about things such as the commitment, and other obligations this year might bring. But in the end, those things became minor as I thought about how much I love to dance and perform, how much I love seeing my family and friends at the games and having fun, and about all of the possibilities this new year would bring. After starting training for this season I am glad to say I made the right decision! Dance is one of those things I can’t live without.

What Advice Would you Give Someone who Dreams of Becoming a Dancer or Cheerleader?

Your passion is strong enough to get you through any set backs, hardships, and obstacles that may come your way. Whether it be with dance/ cheer or in your personal life. Never stop doing what you love!

If you could say one thing to #RNation what would you say?

RNATION we would not be where we are today and be the team we are without you. THANKYOU!!
