JENSEN SHOWS POISE and Potential IN RELIEF

Brock Jensen entered the game in relief and did not look out of place after coming in cold. The North Dakota State product was the next man up with veteran Henry Burris sidelined still with a finger injury. He enjoyed early success, connecting with Brad Sinopoli on his first possession who broke a would-be tackler and turned up field for a 65-yard touchdown.

Jensen finished 20 of 29 passing for 271 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Although he didn’t pull out the win, his poise and production was enough to impress Campbell.

“He gave us a chance to win the game which is what you want out of your quarterback,” Campbell said.  “I was happy with his demeanor and the stage wasn’t too big for.”

Jensen was a little more critical of his performance saying, “I wasn’t good enough tonight and I have to be better. It is a very tough loss.  We didn’t make enough plays and we left a lot out there … it always hurts to lose.”
